The purpose of the search suit is a compromise between a high level of protection and maximum mobility. Used in any sweep search for possible IEDs or where potential hostile ballistic threat might exist. The protection types or level can be altered to suit on the situation in which it needs to be worn. This is done by either inserting ceramic tiles in the front and back or attaching blast plates to the front of the suit.
